Getting started
Signing up is a short multi-step flow — the basics first, then a bit more so the app can personalize itself to you.
- Basic info — first and last name, plus an optional nickname and national ID.
- Personal details — occupation, gender, date of birth, and nationality.
- Credentials — email and a password (at least 8 characters, with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, and a number).
- A few health questions — weight, height, blood type, allergies, known ailments, and current medications. Skippable.
- Phone number — with a type (mobile, home, work), and an "available on WhatsApp" flag.
- Address — used to locate nearby coaches and events. Skippable.
You'll get a +5 BettahCoins welcome bonus as soon as registration completes. Forgot your password? Request a code by phone or email, verify it (a 6-digit code, resendable after 60 seconds), and set a new one from the login screen — the same password rules apply.
Your home screen
Home is your dashboard — a wellness summary, what's coming up, and quick links to everything else.
Today's Overview
An animated steps-progress ring (with a live "Moving" indicator when you're active), plus tiles for distance, upcoming events, and your BettahCoins balance — tap the coins tile to jump straight to Rewards. If you haven't set daily targets yet, a prompt appears automatically after your first look at Home.
Upcoming events & featured coaches
A preview of what's happening soon and coaches worth checking out, right from Home.
Tracking your health
Health tools live under Home — steps and distance sync automatically once you grant access; everything else you log yourself.
Steps & Distance Auto-synced
Pulled from Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android) once you grant access. If your device doesn't report distance directly, it's estimated from your step count.
Medications Manual
Add a medication with its form, strength, and schedule (fixed times, specific days, or an interval), then check doses off from your Today list.
Vitals Manual
Log blood pressure, heart rate, weight, or temperature readings by hand, and review them over time.
Set personal Daily Targets for steps, distance, and water from Settings, plus optional weight and blood-pressure goals — the app tracks your progress against all of them, with a Week/Month/Year breakdown on the Activity and Distance screens.
Only steps and distance sync automatically. Water intake, all four vital types, and medications always require manual entry — there's no automatic sync path for those yet, even on devices where Health Connect could theoretically supply some of them.
Android note: if you have more than one health app writing to Health Connect (say, both Samsung Health and Google Fit), your step count could occasionally look off — the app does its best to avoid double-counting overlapping sources, but this is a known platform-level quirk, not a BettahMe bug. Medication reminders are scheduled on the device where you set them up; reinstalling the app or switching phones means re-enabling them.
Coaches, events & courses
This is where the community side of BettahMe lives.
Coaches
Browse and search by location or fee, then open a profile to see their bio, stats, and what they're running.
Following a coach requires BettahMe Premium — tapping Subscribe on a coach you don't already follow takes you to the paywall first if you're not subscribed. Unfollowing has no such gate.
Events
Find events under All, track the ones you've joined under Subscribed, and see what you're actively taking part in under Attending.
Attending is a free, one-tap RSVP with a confirmation prompt — you can add the event to your device calendar and cancel your spot later. Many events track a leaderboard by steps or distance; check the Leaderboard tab to see where you rank and what prizes are on offer.
Courses
All shows everything available; Enrolled shows what you've started.
Enrolling is a free, one-tap confirmation, same as attending an event. Each course lists its lesson count, capacity, and description before you commit.
Events and courses can display a price, but attending or enrolling today doesn't actually charge you anything — it's a free confirmation either way. Don't be surprised if a "paid" listing doesn't prompt for payment; that's expected in the current app.

Redeeming your coins
Once you've got at least 1,000 coins, you can start redeeming.
- Browse partner offers — gift cards, discounts, and merchandise from BettahMe's partner businesses.
- Redeem with your coins to get a unique reward code.
- Show your code at the partner — in person, by text, or on screen — and they'll verify and honor it.
Every redemption you've made is listed in your Redemption History, with its status and code.
Your Tier is based on lifetime coins earned, not your current balance — the Rewards tab shows your current tier, what's completed, and what's still ahead, including perks locked until you get there.
Account & settings
Everything about your account lives in Settings.

Your profile, phone numbers, addresses, and medical info.
Health
Daily Targets — steps, distance, water, and optional weight and blood-pressure goals.
Preferences
Notification preferences — toggle SMS, push, and email channels, event reminders, and marketing communications (marketing emails, marketing SMS, newsletter) independently. "My Coaches" lists everyone you follow.

Go Premium or manage an existing subscription, depending on your current status.
More
Apply to Become a Coach (hidden once you're already an approved coach), read about BettahMe, or delete your account.
Deleting your account logs you out everywhere immediately and deactivates it right away, but your data (health history, coins, activity) is only permanently erased after a 30-day grace window. You must type DELETE to confirm, and there's no undo once the grace period ends.
